Personal —  Robert D. Sack was born in 1939.  He began service for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1998, appointed by President William J. Clinton. 

Private Practice — Judge Sack was a Partner at Gibson, Dunn & Cruthcer from 1986 to 1998.  He was an Associate and eventually a Partner at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler during the years of 1964 to 1986.

Government — Judge Sack was Associate Special Counsel and Senior Associate Special Counsel of the Impeachment Inquiry Staff for the Committee on the Judiciary of the United States House of Representatives in 1974.

Clerkships — From 1963 to 1964, Judge Sack was a Law Clerk to Judge Arthur S. Lane of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. 

Education — Robert D. Sack received his law degree from Columbia Law School in 1963.  He graduated from the University of Rochester with his undergraduate degree in 1960.

Memberships — Robert D. Sack is a member of the:  American Bar Association; American Bar Foundation; American Judicature Society; Association of the Bar of the City of New York; William F. Kerby and Robert S. Potter Fund; Bureau of National Affairs Advisory Board; Board of Visitors of the Columbia Law School.
