Personal — Reena Raggi was born in 1951. She began service for the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 2002, appointed by President George W. Bush.
Judicial — Prior to her service for the Second Circuit, Reena Raggi was a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York since 1987.

As an Assistant U.S. Attorney she headed the Narcotics Section from 1982 to 1984 and was Chief of Special Prosecution focusing on public corruption cases from 1984 to 1986.
