Personal —  Reena Raggi was born in 1951.  She began service for the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 2002, appointed by President George W. Bush. 

Judicial — Prior to her service for the Second Circuit, Reena Raggi was a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York since 1987. 

Private Practice — Before assuming the bench, Judge Raggi was a litigation Partner at Windels, Marx, Davies & Ives from 1986 to 1987.  From 1977 to 1979 she was an Associate at Cahill, Gordon & Reindel.    

Government — In 1986, Reena Raggi was United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.  She was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District from 1979 to 1986.  As an Assistant U.S. Attorney she headed the Narcotics Section from 1982 to 1984 and was Chief of Special Prosecution focusing on public corruption cases from 1984 to 1986.

Clerkships — Reena Raggi was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas E. Fairchild of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from 1976 to 1977. 

Education — She graduated from Harvard Law School in 1976 and received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley in 1973.
